Moving in Zvezdara — a guide to the municipality

Zvezdara is a hilly municipality in the east of Belgrade, known for the Astronomical Observatory and the large Zvezdara forest. The broken terrain and the mix of old neighbourhoods and new building make it varied to organise a move in.

We move on Konjarnik, in Mirijevo, in Mali and Veliki Mokri Lug and around Cvetkova market. The steep streets in Mirijevo and the houses without lifts mean more carrying, while the buildings on Konjarnik mostly have lifts. We check the access and the parking for each address.

What actually decides the price in Zvezdara

Zvezdara is the municipality where the price varies most from one address to the next. The same flat on Konjarnik and in Mirijevo is not the same job, because in Mirijevo it is often carried up the street to the vehicle.

• Mirijevo and the steep streets — when the vehicle cannot reach the entrance, the carrying distance counts. That is the most common reason an estimate goes up.
• New building in Zvezdara — a great deal has gone up in recent years, so we do a lot of moves into empty flats. That is the quickest and cheapest kind of job.
• Moves out to Mirijevo and Mokri Lug — houses with cellars and garages. Tools and a washing machine from the outbuildings usually come too, so count them in the list.
• Zvezdara forest — the streets around the forest are narrow with cars parked on both sides. An early start solves it.
