How a move works with us

Through the whole process of moving in Belgrade — from the first call to the last box — one coordinator stays with you. It starts with your call or email, where you describe what there is to move and roughly how much. Working out what you actually need

Before you book, a few practical questions are worth settling. Here are the ones people ask most — and in the free quote we always give you a straight recommendation for your own situation.

Van or truck?

A studio, a one-bedroom or a small two-bedroom flat almost always fits in a van — cheaper, easier in narrow streets, less fuel. For a larger two-bedroom, a three-bedroom, a house or an office, a truck usually works out better, because everything goes in one run instead of two or three. If you are not sure, tell us the number of rooms and whether there is anything bulky (corner sofas, large wardrobes, white goods) and we will suggest the right vehicle.

How many people are enough?

For a smaller flat in a building with a lift, two people are usually enough. Without a lift, in a house on two levels, or on a bigger move, we send three or more — more hands means less time and less risk of damage on the stairs. We match the crew to the floor and to how much there is.

No lift — how is that priced?

Without a lift everything goes up and down by hand, which takes more time and more people, so the price follows the floor and the volume. The higher the floor, the more carrying — which is why, in a building without a lift, we need to know the exact floor at both addresses to give you an accurate figure.

When is it worth having us pack?

If there is a lot of small and fragile stuff — the kitchen, books, glass, ornaments — or you simply have no time, it pays to let us pack. It is faster and safer, because we use proper boxes and wrapping. If you box things up yourself the move costs less, and we take over the carrying, the driving and the furniture.

What makes a Belgrade move tricky

A move in Belgrade is not the same job everywhere — conditions change a lot between the centre and the outer districts. Here is what we plan around so the day does not stall.

Parking and getting the vehicle close

In the inner city — Vračar, Stari Grad, Savski venac — parking is full almost all the time, and some streets are restricted zones or pedestrian areas. So we arrange a spot for the van or truck as close to the entrance as we can: a shorter carry means a faster and cheaper move. Tell us whether there is anywhere to stop in front of the building at both addresses.

Narrow streets and old quarters

Old Zemun around Gardoš, Dorćol and parts of Vračar have narrow, sometimes cobbled streets that a large vehicle struggles to enter. There we plan a smaller vehicle, or more runs, plus a longer carry out to wherever the vehicle can actually stand.

Buildings with no lift, and high ceilings

Older buildings in Vračar and Stari Grad often have no lift, or one too small for larger furniture. We plan for the stairs, and where it helps we take bulky pieces apart so they move more easily and more safely.

The Novi Beograd blocks and the business district

Most buildings in Novi Beograd have a lift and easy access, but parking around the office towers, and at rush hour generally, can be hopeless. For office moves we fit the slot around the company's working hours, and we often work outside peak times to stay clear of the traffic.

The best time to move
