Paperwork and customs
Austria is in the EU and in the Schengen area; Serbia is in neither, so a customs procedure applies in both directions. For used personal and household effects we prepare the packing list, proof of residence (Meldezettel or Abmeldung), your passport or ID card, and the CMR and T1 documents. Our drivers know the Spielfeld, Nickelsdorf and Bad Radkersburg crossings well.
Moving into the EU falls under the rules on the transfer of normal residence: personal belongings may enter free of duty and VAT where the conditions are met, typically that you have owned and used them for at least six months. Relief from duty is not the same as the absence of a procedure — the paperwork is still required, and we prepare it for you.
