Moving between Belgrade and Bar — KOMBI-KOMBI

Belgrade to Bar is about 570 km, eight hours' driving, with a studio from €680. Bar is Montenegro's port and the end of the railway from Belgrade, and a good part of this traffic is people with property on the southern coast.

What the move costs

The price depends on how much there is, how many days of packing are needed, the floor at each address, and any extras. Indicative starting prices:

The road and the border

South-west through Čačak and Podgorica, or down the Ibar valley — the newer motorway section has shortened the middle of this route considerably. The border at Ranče or Dobrakovo is a customs crossing, not a formality, because Montenegro is outside the EU.

What the price includes

  • The vehicle at your address in Belgrade at the agreed time
  • A crew — driver and two movers
  • Fragile items packed in stretch film and bubble wrap
  • Dismantling of large furniture — beds, wardrobes, tables
  • Loading and securing the load in the vehicle
  • Transport of 570 km to Bar
  • Customs paperwork — inventory, CMR and transit documents
  • Unloading at your new address and reassembly of the furniture
  • Cover against breakage, theft and road accidents

About Bar

Bar, Sutomore, Ulcinj and the villages behind them take most of these deliveries, with Budva and Petrovac on the same runs. A steady share is holiday property being furnished or cleared rather than a household relocating.

Practical notes

Montenegro is not in the EU, so an inventory is required and the load is declared at the border. For personal effects on a change of residence the procedure is straightforward and we prepare the paperwork; for furnishings going to a holiday flat it is worth telling us in advance, because goods that are not a change of residence are treated differently. Either way the useful thing is an accurate list — a vague inventory is what turns a twenty-minute crossing into a long one.
