What we do

How it is charged
Either by the hour or as a percentage of the value of the item — you choose which suits the job, and we agree it before we start. Assembly and dismantling are already included in the price of a full-service move; as a separate visit they are quoted on their own.

Why the fittings matter
The commonest way a wardrobe is ruined is not the carrying, it is the reassembly: cam locks over-tightened, dowels forced into swollen holes, shelves in the wrong order so the back panel no longer sits square. Chipboard forgives none of this twice. We bag and label the fittings for each piece as it comes apart, and reassemble in the order the manufacturer intended, which is the difference between furniture that survives one move and furniture that survives five.

Do you assemble flat-pack from any shop?
Yes, any brand. If you have the instructions, keep them to hand; if not, we usually manage without.
Can you take apart a fitted wardrobe?
Yes. It is one of the jobs we are called for most, because it is where DIY attempts usually end badly.
What happens to the screws and fittings?
They are bagged and labelled per piece as it comes apart, and go back into the same piece at the other end.
Is this included in a move?
In a full-service move, yes. On a standard move, tell us what needs dismantling and we will include it in the quote.
Do you fix furniture that is already damaged?
Minor repairs during assembly, yes. Structural damage to chipboard is usually not worth repairing, and we will say so.
