Moving in Čačak — a guide to the town and around it
Čačak is about 140 km south-west of Belgrade and now very quickly reached on the Miloš Veliki motorway (A2), which has cut the journey to a little over an hour and a half. Set in the valley of the Zapadna Morava at the entrance to the Ovčar-Kablar gorge, it is the commercial centre of the Moravica district, with a brisk trade in goods and furniture.
We move in the centre and in Ljubić, Alvadžinica, Avlija and Atenica, as well as the villages out towards Gornji Milanovac and Guča. The flat ground makes loading easier, but the narrow streets in the old core and the houses without lifts go into the estimate for the crew size and the time.
