Moving between Belgrade and Dortmund — KOMBI-KOMBI

Belgrade to Dortmund is about 1,570 km, with a studio from €1,880. The eastern Ruhr took in guest workers from the 1960s onwards and the community here is long settled — which shows in the kind of move it is: whole households, often three generations' worth of furniture.

What the move costs

The price depends on how much there is, how many days of packing are needed, the floor at each address, and any extras. Indicative starting prices:

The road and the border

Hungary, Austria, then north-west across Germany on the A3 and A45. The Sauerlandlinie section of the A45 is under long-term bridge renovation, with weight restrictions and diversions that change from month to month, so we check it before every run rather than trusting the last route we drove.

What the price includes

  • The vehicle at your address in Belgrade at the agreed time
  • A crew — driver and two movers
  • Fragile items packed in stretch film and bubble wrap
  • Dismantling of large furniture — beds, wardrobes, tables
  • Loading and securing the load in the vehicle
  • Transport of 1,570 km to Dortmund
  • Customs paperwork — inventory, CMR and transit documents
  • Unloading at your new address and reassembly of the furniture
  • Cover against breakage, theft and road accidents

About Dortmund

Most of our deliveries here go to the Nordstadt, Hörde, Eving and Scharnhorst, and to the neighbouring towns — Bochum, Hagen, Witten, Lünen and Unna — all within half an hour and all covered on the same run.

Practical notes

Much of the housing here went up for the mines and the steelworks: four- and five-storey blocks, solidly built, with narrow stairwells and no lift. For a third or fourth floor that usually means an external furniture lift (Möbellift) or a larger crew and dismantling. The Ruhr's low-emission zone is one of the largest in Germany and covers all the neighbouring towns as well, so the green Umweltplakette is not optional; and a Halteverbot is needed wherever the street parks up overnight.
