Moving between Belgrade and Zurich — KOMBI-KOMBI

Belgrade to Zurich is about 1,400 km and one of our busiest routes, with a studio from €1,680. Switzerland sits outside both the EU and the customs union, so the load crosses two borders and is declared twice — which is what separates this run from an ordinary EU route.

What the move costs

The price depends on how much there is, how many days of packing are needed, the floor at each address, and any extras. Indicative starting prices:

HomeVolumeFrom
Studio or one-bedroom, up to 30 m²up to 8 m³€1,680
Two-bedroom, 30–50 m²10–15 m³€2,020
Three-bedroom, 50–80 m²15–20 m³€2,520
Four-bedroom or house, 80 m²+20 m³+€3,170

These are starting prices, calculated per kilometre driven. A full service with movers, packing and reassembly runs at €1.5–1.9 per kilometre; groupage is charged by the space your load takes up. For an exact figure call +381 66 50-40-30-9.

Route details

  • Distance: 1,400 km
  • Driving time: about 13 hours
  • Delivery: 1–3 working days door to door
  • Departures: regular monthly departures, part loads as required
  • Direction: both ways — Belgrade to Zurich and Zurich to Belgrade

The road and the border

We drive through Hungary, Austria and Germany, entering Switzerland at Weil am Rhein near Basel; from the south the crossing is Chiasso, and from the east St. Margrethen. Because there are two customs formalities rather than one, we fix the loading and delivery times more precisely than on EU routes — on this route waiting at a border is the thing that costs a day.

What the price includes

  • The vehicle at your address in Belgrade at the agreed time
  • A crew — driver and two movers
  • Fragile items packed in stretch film and bubble wrap
  • Dismantling of large furniture — beds, wardrobes, tables
  • Loading and securing the load in the vehicle
  • Transport of 1,400 km to Zurich
  • Customs paperwork — inventory, CMR and transit documents
  • Unloading at your new address and reassembly of the furniture
  • Cover against breakage, theft and road accidents

About Zurich

The canton of Zurich holds the largest part of the Serbian community in Switzerland. We move regularly into the city and the surrounding communes — Winterthur, Uster, Dübendorf, Dietikon — and on the same runs serve Bern, Basel, St. Gallen, Aargau and Vaud.

Practical notes

For a change of residence you need an inventory with indicative values, proof of your registration in Switzerland and de-registration in Serbia, and your passport; the vehicle carries the CMR and the transit document. Swiss rules give relief from duty on used household effects brought in on a change of residence, subject to conditions — but relief is not the same as the absence of a procedure, and the declaration still has to be made. We prepare the inventory and deal with both borders for you. In practice the date is set by when your registration paperwork is ready, not by the vehicle.

Frequently asked questions

What does this route cost?

From €1,680 for a studio up to 8 m³, €2,020 for a two-bedroom, €2,520 for a three-bedroom and €3,170 for a house.

Is Switzerland in the EU?

No, and it is outside the customs union too. The load is declared on entry and again on exit, which is why the paperwork on this route is heavier than on an EU one.

Will I pay duty on my furniture?

Swiss rules provide relief for used household effects brought in on a change of residence, subject to conditions. The declaration is made either way — relief removes the charge, not the procedure.

What documents do you need from me?

An inventory with indicative values, proof of registration in Switzerland and de-registration in Serbia, and your passport. We prepare the inventory with you.

How long does it take?

About 13 hours of driving; 1–3 working days door to door, depending on how quickly the two borders go.

Do you go to Bern, Basel and Geneva as well?

Yes, on the same runs — along with St. Gallen, Aargau and Vaud.
