What to plan for
- Delivery the next day. Ten hours of driving plus loading means the van leaves one day and unloads the next; that is the normal pattern, not an exception.
- Motorway most of the way. Through Hungary and Slovakia, or via Brno, with a vignette required for each country — all of that is inside the fixed price.
- Student and single-room moves. A large share of this traffic is one room's worth of belongings, where groupage costs a fraction of a dedicated van.
- Prague city centre. Access in the older districts is restricted and narrow, so we check the entrance in advance and plan the carry.

Paperwork and customs
Czechia has been in the EU since 2004 and in the Schengen area since 2007; Serbia is in neither, so a customs procedure applies in both directions. For a change of residence you will need an inventory of your belongings, proof of residence registration and your passport. The route crosses at Horgoš and continues through Slovakia, or via Brno.
Moving into the EU falls under the rules on the transfer of normal residence: personal belongings may enter free of duty and VAT where the conditions are met, typically that you have owned and used them for at least six months. Relief from duty is not the same as the absence of a procedure — we prepare the inventory and handle the border.
