Moving in Valjevo — a guide to the town and around it
Valjevo is about 100 km south-west of Belgrade in the Kolubara valley, ringed by the Povlen, Maljen and Medvednik mountains. The road runs through Lajkovac and Mionica, and the hills behind the town mean that moves out to the villages and weekend houses need the approach roads checked beforehand.
In the town we move in the centre, in the old craftsmen's quarter of Tešnjar along the Kolubara, and in Gradac, Kolubara and Brđani. Tešnjar has narrow cobbled streets and houses with no lift, so there is more carrying; the newer building towards Gradac has wider access.
