Moving in Stari Grad — a guide to the municipality

Stari Grad is the historic core of Belgrade — Knez Mihailova, Skadarlija, Dorćol and Kalemegdan. Listed buildings, pedestrian zones and tight streets mean vehicle access is restricted, so a move here takes experience and planning rather than just a van and a crew.

We cover Dorćol, Kosančićev Venac, Skadarlija and the streets around Republic Square. What actually decides the price in Stari Grad

In Stari Grad the price depends less on how much there is and more on how many metres it has to be carried from the door to the vehicle. That is why we ask for the exact address, not just the municipality.

• Pedestrian zones — in Knez Mihailova and the streets around it a vehicle cannot reach the entrance at any hour. We fit the slot to the permitted delivery times.
• Listed buildings — staircases with wrought-iron railings and a tight turn. We wrap the furniture in film and blankets so that neither your things nor the building get damaged.
