An affordable move in Belgrade — two vans being loaded outside a house

What the price is made up of

To pay less, you first need to know what you are paying for. A moving price in Belgrade has three parts: the vehicle (a van or a truck, by trip or by hour), the crew (number of people × time), and the extras (packing, assembly, carrying where there is no lift). When someone advertises a move from RSD 3,000, that is usually the vehicle alone — no crew, no protection for your things and no distance included. Always ask for one fixed price for the whole job.

The vehicle follows how much there is, and that is where it is easiest to overpay or to save. Our fleet covers every size of move: the smaller cargo van (4.1 × 1.9 × 1.85 m) from RSD 4,000 within the city (RSD 60 per km outside it), the larger cargo van (4.3 × 1.9 × 1.9 m) from RSD 5,000, and the passenger van which converts to cargo by moving the seats — useful when people and belongings travel together. For a full flat or a house there is the large truck (load space around 5 × 2.4 × 2.7 m) to take everything in one trip. If all you need is the labour, hiring the crew without a vehicle costs RSD 1,500 an hour. The principle is simple: a smaller vehicle and less time means a lower price, and at the survey we propose the smallest combination that still finishes the job safely.

Five ways to genuinely pay less

  1. Choose the day carefully. Weekends and the end of the month are the busiest. Every day of the week carries a discount of 10 to 15 per cent with us — the schedule is on the home page — and weekdays in mid-month are the cheapest.
  2. Pack the boxes yourself. The single biggest saving. You pack the small things and the clothes; the crew carries, wraps the furniture and drives. Packing materials can be bought from us, and on larger moves some of it comes free.
  3. Get rid of what you are not taking. Less to move means a smaller trip and a lower price. Whatever is old or unwanted we can take away for disposal on the same trip.
  4. Arrange parking at the door. Every metre of carrying adds time. Reserve a space for the van outside both addresses — less carrying, less time, a lower price.
  5. Ask about the discounts. Pensioners, students and people with disabilities have a standing discount with us — just mention it when you call.

Where the cheapest becomes the most expensive

Furniture wrapped in stretch film before an affordable move in Belgrade

You will find advertised prices that do not add up. Here is what is usually behind them, from customers who came to us after such a move:

  • ✘ Extra charges on the day — the floor is not included, the distance is separate, the boxes are extra. A fixed price agreed beforehand removes all of it.
  • ✘ No protection for your things — furniture without film and blankets means scratches and breakages that nobody is answerable for.
  • ✘ An unregistered carrier — no invoice, no guarantee, nobody to complain to. Check the company and the Google reviews.
  • ✘ Too few people — two people on a three-bedroom flat with no lift means twice the time and damaged belongings.

To be concrete about it, this is what the cheapest moves usually look like. These are real adverts from Instagram: individuals with a trailer i rubble-clearance firms offering removals on the side, as one more item on a list of services.

A cheap-removals advert — an open 300×150 cm trailer loaded with tyres
An open trailer (300 × 150 cm) that carries tyres and building materials — and also does removals. Your furniture travels with no roof, no wrapping and no insurance, exposed to rain, dust and damage.
A sponsored advert — a rubble-clearance van full of sacks, also offering removals
A rubble-clearance van that also offers removals. The same load space that held waste and sacks now carries your belongings — unprotected and with no guarantee of any kind.

With transport like this there is no protection, no invoice and no liability for damage — and that is exactly where the saving becomes the most expensive thing in the move. One scratched wardrobe or one broken cooker costs more than the whole professional job would have.

Our position: we are not always the cheapest on paper, but the total — no extra charges, no damage, with a guarantee — generally comes out lower. More than 1,200 Google reviews averaging 5.0 is the best check you can make.

The cheapest option: transport only

If you have little to move and friends to help, the cheapest option is a van with no crew — you load, we drive. A cargo van within the city starts at RSD 4,000 (RSD 60 per km outside it), and for very small loads there is also the the passenger van in its cargo configuration. For smaller intercity moves, ask about part-load transport, where you share the trip and the cost with other customers going the same way.

Not sure what your own move would cost? Use our moving cost calculator — pick the items and the distance and you get an indicative figure straight away. Through the price list you can also send us your own offer and negotiate a date. The survey costs nothing and commits you to nothing — call 066/50-40-30-9 and you will have an exact fixed price before the crew sets off.

Frequently asked questions

How can a move be cheaper without putting my things at risk?

The biggest savings are in the planning: a weekday slot with the daily discount, packing the boxes yourself, and leaving the carrying and the driving to the crew. The price is fixed after the survey, so there are no surprises.

Which days are cheapest?

Weekdays in the middle of the month. There are standing discounts by day of the week of 10 to 15 per cent, plus discounts for pensioners and students.

Why is the lowest advertised price often a trap?

A price of RSD 3,000 usually excludes the crew, the distance and any protection for your things, so you end up paying more. An unregistered carrier is not liable for damage. Ask for a fixed price in advance and for reviews you can actually check.

Can I lower the price by packing myself?

Yes — packing the boxes yourself is the single biggest saving. The materials can be bought from us, and on larger moves some of it comes free.

What does a cheap studio or one-bedroom move cost?

A studio move in Belgrade starts at RSD 17,000 and a one-bedroom at RSD 25,000, with crew and van. For an exact fixed price, book a free survey on 066/50-40-30-9.
