The road and the border
We drive through Hungary, crossing at Horgoš, then on the motorway past Budapest and through Austria and Germany into France. It is one of the longest runs we make, and the schedule is built around the driver’s mandatory rest periods rather than around optimism. The return follows the same road, and an empty return leg often means a cheaper date for groupage.

Practical notes
Two things shape a Paris delivery. The city has Crit’Air low-emission zones that restrict which vehicles may enter and when, and the périphérique is congested for most of the day. We plan the arrival window and the stopping place around both, and where a courtyard or a narrow street will not take the vehicle we say so before the move rather than on the morning.
