What to plan for
- The shortest international run we make. Vukovar is 140 km and Osijek 200, so those jobs are comfortably done within a day, loading and unloading included.
- Motorway all the way to Zagreb. The A3 makes this one of the easiest routes to schedule; Dalmatian addresses add the coastal motorway and a few hours.
- Summer on the coast. Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik get crowded between June and September, so we load early and agree a stopping place in advance.
- Border crossings. Batrovci–Bajakovo is the fastest; Orašje and Opuzen are alternatives depending on where you are going.

Paperwork and customs
Croatia has been in the EU since 2013 and in the Schengen area since 2023; Serbia is in neither, so a customs procedure applies in both directions. For a change of residence you will need an inventory of your belongings, proof of residence (the certificate issued by the Croatian police, or the de-registration document) and your passport.
Moving into the EU falls under the rules on the transfer of normal residence: personal belongings may enter free of duty and VAT where the conditions are met, typically that you have owned and used them for at least six months. Relief from duty is not the same as the absence of a procedure — we prepare the inventory and clear the border for you.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a move between Croatia and Serbia take?
Vukovar and Osijek are two hours away, Zagreb four, Rijeka and Zadar around seven, Split eight and Dubrovnik nine. Anything up to Zagreb is usually a single-day job.
What does a move from Zagreb to Belgrade cost?
A full van of up to 12 m³ starts at €470. Smaller loads are cheaper on groupage, where you pay for the space you occupy.
