What to plan for
- Two corridors. We reach Paris, Lille and Strasbourg through Austria and Germany; Lyon, Marseille and Nice are often quicker through Italy. We choose according to your address and the season.
- Two days of driving. At 1,450–2,100 km, the transport itself takes two days with the driver's mandatory rest. We fix the loading and delivery dates in advance rather than promising a single-day turnaround.
- Paris access. Narrow courtyards, old buildings and limited stopping make the capital the most demanding part of the route. We check the entrance and the stairs before the move and bring the right crew.
- Older buildings without lifts. Haussmann-era blocks often have a small lift or none at all, so bulky furniture is dismantled and carried. That affects the time, and therefore the price — we say so in the quote, not on the day.

Paperwork and customs
France is in the EU and in the Schengen area; Serbia is in neither, so a customs procedure applies in both directions. For a change of residence you will need an inventory of your belongings (inventaire), proof of residence (attestation de résidence) and your passport or ID card.
Moving into the EU falls under the rules on the transfer of normal residence: personal belongings may enter free of duty and VAT where the conditions are met, typically that you have owned and used them for at least six months. Relief from duty is not the same as the absence of a procedure — we prepare the inventory and handle the formalities on the way.

We use proper packing materials and give fragile items — glass, pictures, musical instruments — extra protection with cardboard corners and furniture blankets.

How long does a move between France and Serbia take?
