Moving between Belgrade and Zagreb — KOMBI-KOMBI

Belgrade to Zagreb is about 390 km — four hours on a single motorway, and a studio from €470. It is the shortest and cheapest international route we run, and the only one where the whole job routinely finishes in one working day.

What the move costs

The price depends on how much there is, how many days of packing are needed, the floor at each address, and any extras. Indicative starting prices:

Route details

  • Distance: 390 km
  • Driving time: about 4 hours
  • Delivery: 1 working day, most often
  • Departures: several departures a week, part loads as required
  • Direction: both ways — Belgrade to Zagreb and Zagreb to Belgrade
  • Customs: no procedure — Croatia is in the EU and in Schengen, so there is no stop at the border either way

The road and the border

One road the whole way: the A3 west through Šid to the crossing at Batrovci–Bajakovo, then on to Zagreb. Since Croatia joined Schengen there is no systematic check at that border, so four hours of driving is genuinely four hours.

What the price includes

  • The vehicle at your address in Belgrade at the agreed time
  • A crew — driver and two movers
  • Fragile items packed in stretch film and bubble wrap
  • Dismantling of large furniture — beds, wardrobes, tables
  • Loading and securing the load in the vehicle
  • Transport of 390 km to Zagreb
  • Customs paperwork — inventory, CMR and transit documents
  • Unloading at your new address and reassembly of the furniture
  • Cover against breakage, theft and road accidents

About Zagreb

Zagreb moves split between people relocating for work and families with ties on both sides of the border — this is the route most often run in both directions in the same week. Deliveries go across the whole city, and Karlovac, Sisak, Varaždin and Zagreb's satellite towns are on the same runs.

Practical notes

At four hours there is no overnight, no second driver and no mandatory rest to schedule around, which is why this route costs a third of what a German one does. It also means we can quote a time rather than a window, and that a viewing before the move is realistic if the job is large. In the lower town the nineteenth-century blocks have narrow stairwells and lifts that will not take a wardrobe; the newer Novi Zagreb blocks across the Sava are the opposite and give no trouble.
